Application Note: Viral RNA purification using Redbud NA1

This application note describes the evaluation of the Redbud NA1™ system for automated viral RNA extraction from clinical samples and viral isolates. Developed in collaboration with the Wadsworth Center, the study assessed the platform’s performance across key criteria including extraction linearity, consistency, compatibility with whole genome sequencing (WGS), and usability in high-containment (BSL-3) labs.

Purpose:
To demonstrate Redbud NA1's suitability for molecular surveillance workflows using qPCR and next-generation sequencing. The document provides experimental data supporting the instrument’s precision, reliability, and ease of use across diverse lab environments.
